They are stored in the portal as part of the supplier record: the client's procurement team reviews and validates them, and the supplier updates them when they expire. Documents uploaded by your suppliers are stored encrypted with AES-256. Their protection rests on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure certified under ISO 27001, SOC 1/2/3 and PCI DSS; Egixia's own controls are aligned to ISO 27001 and validated by external penetration testing, whose executive report is available under a confidentiality agreement. 100% SaaS platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS), in the United States (Northern Virginia region), with redundancy across multiple availability zones. Documents uploaded by your suppliers are stored encrypted with AES-256; database and volume encryption is enabled per project, according to the client's policies. There is no on-premise or hybrid model in the standard offering.

OAuth 2.0 / JWT authentication with role-based access control and configurable password policy. Multi-factor authentication and corporate directory integration (Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, LDAP/SAML) are advanced features enabled per project. Multi-factor authentication is mandatory for administrative roles.

Access control belongs to the client: your team defines who sees what through roles and permissions. Egixia support staff only access under your express, time-limited authorization. In addition, Egixia monitors threats continuously with automated detection (AWS GuardDuty and CloudTrail).

Retention of client documents is enabled per project, according to the client's policies: the retention period and what happens at the end of the contract are defined in the service contract. The same applies to audit log retention.

Which compliance requirements does the portal support, and how is that different from platform security?

Accepted Answer

They are different things. Platform security protects the information (encryption, access control, monitoring). Separately, the portal supports the supplier know-your-vendor and due diligence processes required by our clients' Sagrilaft / Sarlaft / PTEE programs; compliance with the program remains the responsibility of the client and its compliance officer. Egixia complies with the Colombian personal data protection regime (Law 1581 of 2012) and takes the LFPDPPP as a reference for data processing in Mexico. Client-specific regulatory requirements are agreed in the service contract.
