Add Uruguay to your supplier portal without rebuilding the tool

Uruguay's equivalent of Colombia's DIAN is the DGI, and its social security counterpart is the BPS. Egixia requests, files and monitors the expiry of the DGI Certificado único and the BPS Certificado común inside the same portal you already run in your other countries.

Adding Uruguay to an operation that already exists

Uruguay is almost never a group's first country. What changes when you cross the border is the document package, not the process.

Nobody knows which certificate to ask for

The question arrives from the regional team exactly like this: "what is the DIAN called in Uruguay?". It is the DGI, the Dirección General Impositiva, and its social security counterpart is the BPS. If nobody knows what to require, supplier onboarding stops before it starts.

    Two certificates that expire

The DGI Certificado único and the BPS Certificado común have a validity period. Banks require them to open a business account and corporate clients require them before contracting, so control does not end on onboarding day: chasing them by email consumes the procurement team's time.

Is every new country another project?

The usual objection when opening an operation: that adapting to local regulation means big changes and big costs in the tool. If adding Uruguay forces you to rebuild the portal, the expansion gets postponed.

The same portal, with the Uruguayan package

    1

The Uruguayan document pair, inside the portal you already use

When you onboard a Uruguayan supplier, the portal asks for its RUT —the Registro Único Tributario issued by the DGI— and the two certificates that define supplier onboarding in Uruguay: the Certificado único from the Dirección General Impositiva (DGI) and the Certificado común from the Banco de Previsión Social (BPS). The approval flow, the roles and the users are the same as in your other countries.

Illustrative scenario: A regional group already running its portal in another country enables Uruguay as one more document configuration: same flow, same users, a different certificate package.
    2

    Validity monitored, not chased

Each certificate is uploaded with its expiry date. The portal warns before it expires and, once it does, flags the supplier so it cannot move forward in the flow without current documentation. Follow-up stops living in one person's inbox and keeps traceability of every version of the document.

    3

A consolidated view for whoever watches the region

Regional procurement management sees Uruguay on the same dashboard as the other countries: suppliers, documents about to expire and the status of each onboarding, without opening one tool per country or requesting a report by email. Validation against external sources via API is enabled per project, according to the client's policies.

    How Egixia Applies in Uruguay

"Uruguay comes in as a country, not as a project."

A regional group already running the portal in another country enables Uruguay with its own document package —DGI Certificado único and BPS Certificado común— on the same agreement and the same approval flow.

"One dashboard for the whole region."

Regional procurement management monitors purchasing across every country where the group operates from a single dashboard, with Uruguay included as one more operation and its documentation up to date.
